Welcome to Mangatawa Nursery

Mangatawa Nursery - the Nursery on the Hill - takes pride with specialising in native plants, and is the only wholesale nursery in Tauranga open to the public. Our focus is on the revegetation  and preservation of wetlands and our coastal and forest areas, wildlife habitat enhancement, erosion control, land transport sections, and community enrichment.

As well as an extensive range of quality native plants, Mangatawa Nursery also produces vegetable plants, coastal and dune plants, exotics, and a huge variety of flaxes.

Our seeds and plants are sourced locally, which means our produce have adapted to local conditions. They are then hand-raised and nurtured by our skilled staff to the specification required by our customers

Situated at the base of one of Tauranga's sacred mountains - Mangatawa - the soil is rich with nutrients and history, untouched by the spoils of today's influences. Quality handling is what produces our quality plants, coupled with years of experience with our longstanding and caring staff.
